Our Story

Great design isn’t just created—it’s cultivated through passion, experience, and a lifetime of building something extraordinary, one project at a time.

Our story starts in 1990—or at least that’s what we like to say. It all began with two imaginative kids, my cousin Xavier and me (I’m Diana, by the way). We called our childhood “business” DIXA, a playful mash-up of our names. While our parents were busy renovating the house, Xavier and I spent hours with the contractors and architects, soaking in everything we could. We didn’t just watch—we became part of the team. They were more than happy to let us help, handing over the tools, letting us paint, demo, and do whatever we could to be involved. Those early days, working side by side with the professionals, laid the foundation for something extraordinary. Fast forward through years of education, growth, and experience: Xavier, with his background in interior architecture and training in Buenos Aires, Milan, and Barcelona, and me, with a deep dive into design and construction of public works and infrastructure. After 15 years working for others, we revived Dixa in 2020, fueled by the expertise and passion we’d cultivated. That’s when we found the missing piece of our team puzzle: Javier. Javier’s story adds a whole new layer to Dixa. He grew up on construction sites, learning the trade from his father and grandfather, both legends in the building world. Javier’s Italian immigrant grandfather left an indelible mark on commercial construction, and that legacy lives on in Javier’s hands. He joined us as the “muscle” of Dixa, bringing the same love for design, precision, and craftsmanship we’d nurtured since we were kids. At Dixa Inc., we don’t just renovate spaces—we transform them. Each project is a fusion of history, design, and cutting-edge ideas, blending the timeless elegance of Milan and Barcelona with the modern influences of North American design. It’s about crafting more than just rooms; it’s about creating vibrant, soulful spaces that tell a story—your story. But more than anything, what sets us apart is the relationships we build. Javier Biondi

Fix-It Maestro

Hi, I’m Javier, Site Supervisor here at Dixa Inc., though some might say I’m the guy who’s everywhere, making sure everything is running like clockwork. Whether it’s managing a team, problem-solving on-site, or rolling up my sleeves to jump into the work myself, I’m here to ensure every project runs smoothly and nothing slips through the cracks.

I’m a carpenter by trade, but honestly, I’ve been called a “know-it-all” (in the best way). If it needs fixing, building, or finessing, I’m your guy. From logistics to last-minute adjustments, I’ve got a knack for turning challenges into solutions.

As Site Supervisor, I make sure the construction site is safe, efficient, and on track. But I’m not just a supervisor—I’m hands-on. If a task needs doing or a situation calls for quick action, I’m right there to make it happen. From coordinating deliveries to picking up a hammer myself, my job is making sure the project keeps moving forward, no matter what.

To me, Dixa isn’t just a company—it’s a family. I’m proud of what we’ve created here: a team that genuinely cares, projects that inspire us, and clients who are some of the coolest people we’ve had the pleasure to work with. There’s a real joy in building something meaningful with people you respect and admire.

When I’m not at the job site, you’ll probably find me out on an adventure. I’m a big fan of multi-day backpacking trips, and I can’t stay away from the water—I love kayaking, swimming, and just being out in nature. Oh, and did I mention dancing? Whether it’s salsa or freestyle, I love hitting the dance floor. I also enjoy running and calisthenics to keep me energized for all the action life throws at me.

Jonathan Olivo

Master of Finishes

Hi, I’m Jonathan, Lead Carpenter here at Dixa Inc. I’m the one you’ll find on-site every day, ensuring every detail of your renovation is just right. Whether it’s framing, cabinetry, or the perfect finishing touch, I thrive on turning challenging jobs into beautifully crafted spaces. Clients say I have a knack for precision—and that’s a reputation I work hard to live up to.

I know my way around every stage of construction, but my real magic lies in the finishes. I’m passionate about delivering flawless results, no matter how tricky the job. I pride myself on being reliable, approachable, and ready to tackle any challenge with a smile. If there’s a solution to be found, I’ll find it—and I’ll make sure it looks amazing too.

As the Lead Carpenter, I’m hands-on every step of the way. From the moment we start a renovation to the final polish, I ensure every element meets Dixa’s high standards. I specialize in the details that elevate a project from “good” to “exceptional.” Whether it’s fixing unexpected issues or creating custom solutions, my focus is always on delivering results our clients will love.

For me, it’s all about the people—the team, the clients, and the projects we take on together. I love the trust our clients place in us and the satisfaction of seeing their vision come to life. Working at Dixa means being part of something special, and I take pride in knowing that my work contributes to the spaces where people live, work, and create memories.

When I’m not on-site, you can usually find me at the gym (yes, I spend a lot of time there!). Fitness is a big part of my life, and it helps keep me energized for the demands of construction. Most importantly, I love spending time with my three amazing daughters—they’re my world. Whether it’s family outings or just hanging out at home, they’re my motivation for everything I do.

José M. “Chema”

The Rising Star

Hi, I’m José, but everyone calls me Chema! I’m Dixa Inc.’s Junior Carpenter, currently working through my apprenticeship. While I’m still learning, I’ve got a sharp eye for detail and a real passion for carpentry. From the very first project I worked on, I’ve been hands-on, soaking up everything I can and striving to bring my best to the team and our clients.

I’m quick to learn and love diving into challenges. Whether it’s framing, finishing, or problem-solving on-site, I’m all in. My team tells me I’ve got a natural talent for this work, and I’m proud to be part of the high-quality craftsmanship Dixa is known for.

As a Junior Carpenter, I assist with all aspects of our projects, from prep work to precise finishing touches. I’m here to ensure that every part of a job gets done smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Whether it’s lending a hand to the lead carpenters or tackling tasks independently, I’m focused on making sure each project exceeds expectations.

Being part of Dixa feels like being part of a family. I love the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals like Javier and Jonathan while contributing to projects that make our clients happy. The trust, camaraderie, and shared passion we have as a team make this an amazing place to grow as a carpenter and as a person.

When I’m not on-site, you’ll probably find me at the gym—it’s my second home! Staying fit keeps me energized and ready for the physical demands of carpentry. I’m also a new dad, and nothing beats spending time with my baby. Watching my little one grow and being there for every milestone is the greatest adventure of all.

Leonel Lagunes, "Leo"

Hi, I’m Leonel, but most people know me as Leo! I’m the drywall and plaster specialist here at Dixa Inc., and honestly, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. From perfectly seamless walls to smooth finishes that catch the light just right, my job is all about precision and artistry. People say I make it look easy, but there’s a lot of skill (and passion) behind the magic.

I’m the guy who brings walls to life. Whether it’s installing drywall, patching imperfections, or creating that final, polished look, I ensure the surfaces in your home are flawless. My tools might look simple, but I use them to turn even the trickiest challenges into perfectly smooth results.

Whenever a project needs walls that look like they were never touched by human hands, that’s my cue. Uneven surfaces? Water damage? Weird angles? I’ve got it covered—literally. My job is to make every wall and ceiling pristine, creating the perfect backdrop for the rest of the design to shine.

For me, Dixa is more than a job—it’s a passion. I love the artistry of what we do, but even more than that, I love the people I work with. Our team is like family, and our clients are some of the coolest people around. Each project is a chance to create something beautiful and meaningful, and I’m proud to be part of that.

When I’m not busy being a super dad to my little girl (who’s my world), I love catching up with friends. There’s nothing like a great conversation to unwind and recharge. Whether we’re sharing stories, ideas, or just a good laugh, it’s one of my favorite ways to spend time.

Diana Valeria

Set Director

Hi, I’m Diana, the one behind the desk and in between project sites, making sure everything flows seamlessly at Dixa Inc. I handle all the behind-the-scenes office work, from organizing operations to coordinating the team. But my favorite role? Connecting with our clients.

I’m the voice of Dixa—the one who meets with clients, keeps them updated on daily tasks, and ensures they’re always in the loop about project progress. Communication is key in what we do, and I love being the bridge between our clients’ vision and the amazing work our team delivers.

I’m the one behind the desk, making sure that all the magic happening on-site runs seamlessly from the office. I’m a planner and have a master’s in Project Management (honestly, who does that?!), I bring over 15 years of experience in the construction industry to Dixa. I’m responsible for everything that happens behind the scenes—coordinating projects, managing timelines, and ensuring our clients are always in the loop. Communication is key, and I’m the one who makes sure our clients are updated every step of the way.

I’m also a problem-solver. Whether it’s managing a tight schedule or addressing unexpected challenges, I’m here to make sure everything stays on track and that our clients feel informed and supported throughout the entire process.

I’m the one who keeps the ball rolling—whether it’s answering client questions, reviewing contracts, or managing the logistics of multiple projects at once. I ensure the day-to-day operations are organized, all while keeping our clients up to date on progress. If you need something done, I’m the one who gets it done from the office side of things, while the team handles it on-site. I ensure everyone is on the same page and that the communication flows smoothly between all parties.

I absolutely love what we’ve built here at Dixa. The work we do is so much more than just renovations—it’s about transforming spaces and making people’s lives better. What really makes Dixa special is the team. We are all incredibly dedicated and passionate about the work we do. There’s no greater satisfaction than seeing a project come together and knowing that we’ve built something meaningful. Plus, our clients are some of the coolest people you could ever work with. It’s an absolute joy to be a part of this team and to help bring our clients’ visions to life.

When I’m not managing the behind-the-scenes tasks at Dixa, you can find me cycling (I even crossed Europe by bicycle in 6 months at a point!), going for long walks, or diving into a good book. I also love exploring various forms of art making—whether it’s painting, crafting, or just appreciating the creativity around me. There’s nothing like finding new inspiration in the world of art to keep the mind fresh and creative.
